Your whole library
Songs, albums, artists, genres, folders and playlists, with instant search across all of them — and a Today list that clears itself overnight.
VELORA plays the music you already own — from your drives, from an audio CD, or from free internet radio. It runs on your machine, keeps everything there, and never asks you to sign in.

Everything in one place
Point VELORA at your folders. It reads the tags and the cover art, watches for changes, and gets out of the way.
Songs, albums, artists, genres, folders and playlists, with instant search across all of them — and a Today list that clears itself overnight.
A ten-band equaliser, preamp, ReplayGain, a live volume leveller that evens out loud and quiet radio stations, your choice of output device, and a Direct mode that bypasses all of it.
Songs overlap by as much as you like; album tracks run straight into each other.
Play a disc at full CD quality, read straight from the drive and named by its own fingerprint.
Pauses the music after 15 to 90 minutes, so falling asleep to a record costs nothing.
Twenty-three decks
Tape winds between the spools at the speed a real transport would. The record turns at 33⅓ rpm, the jog wheel on the DJ deck scrubs the track as you turn it, and the VU needles use proper meter ballistics. Every button on a deck works — none of it is a picture.
Free internet radio
Thousands of stations from the community-run Radio Browser directory, opening on your own country. VELORA reads the song on air from the stream itself and looks up the release and its cover when it can.
One player, three screens
The same decks, the same settings — sized for whatever you are using.
Folder indexing, audio CDs, keyboard shortcuts, media keys, and three ways to shrink it: a slim strip, a card with lyrics and what's next, or a mini player that stays on top.
Plays the music already on your phone in the background, with lock-screen controls, a mini player that swipes up into Now Playing, and a gallery of 29 skins.
A ten-foot layout you drive with the remote, with focus you can see from the sofa.

What's new
The latest release: VELORA 1.1 on Windows and VELORA Mobile 2.0 on Android.
One tap shrinks VELORA to a small square with just what you need — cover, play, skip, the position, shuffle and repeat — and one more takes you back. The card view adds the song's lyrics, following along line by line, and what's playing next.
Radio stations are mastered at wildly different levels. The leveller measures each one over a few seconds and brings them all to the same loudness, with a limiter so nothing clips — for radio only, or for everything.
Your name, country and city in one place — radio opens on your stations, the weather on your city.
A double cassette deck, two reel machines, a field recorder, a disc vault and a vinyl pocket card.
Decks and receivers drawn for the phone, with big knobs and keys a thumb can work.
Local first
Your library, play history, playlists and settings live in one folder on your own machine. Nothing about what you listen to is ever sent anywhere. The only features that use the network are radio and song lookup, and a single switch turns both off.
It cannot play Spotify, Apple Music or other subscription catalogues: those services do not license third-party playback and their audio is protected. VELORA plays files you own and free internet radio — and says so rather than pretending otherwise.
Questions
No to both. There is no sign-up, no subscription and no account to make.
Never. VELORA reads the folders you point it at. Editing tags changes its own database, not your files, and removing a folder removes index entries only.
FLAC, MP3, WAV, OGG, Opus, AAC and M4A, plus audio CDs on Windows. ALAC, DSD, WMA and APE are indexed with their tags but cannot be decoded, and VELORA says so rather than failing quietly.
No. Those services do not license third-party playback and their audio is protected. VELORA plays files you own and free internet radio.
Only radio lookups and the song titles radio stations broadcast, and only while online services are on. Nothing about your library is ever sent anywhere.
Install it, point it at a folder, and listen. Nothing to sign up for.
