Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Velorex Studio IT Services ("Velorex") collects through the Velorex Recovery Intelligence software and this website.
1. What we never collect
Scanning and recovery run on your own computer. The software does not send us your recovered files, photos, videos, documents, file names, folder contents, scan results or raw disk contents. Our staff cannot browse your drives.
2. What we process when you have an account or activate a plan
A free account is needed to download the software. Inside the software, signing in is optional: the Free plan works without it. For your account, and if you sign in inside the software or activate a paid plan, we process:
- Account details you give us: name, email address, and a phone number if you choose to add one. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- Device and license details: a device identifier derived from your Windows installation, the computer name, the software version, your plan and license identifier.
- Recovery allowance used: a total number of bytes recovered, so the allowance of your plan can be applied. It is a count only, with no information about which files were recovered.
- Technical details: the IP address and time of each license check, and the time and version of each download from your account.
Update checks. The software asks our server whether a newer version exists, twice a day unless you turn this off in Settings. The request carries no account, device or file information; our server sees only the IP address it comes from. Updates are downloaded and installed only when you choose to.
3. Why we use it
To create and sign in to your account, issue and activate your license, apply your plan's allowance and validity, limit a license to the permitted devices, prevent abuse, and answer support requests.
4. Orders and payments
When you order a plan we keep the order, the plan, the machine IDs you gave, the amount, a payment reference and the payment status. Your license key is sent to your email address. Online card payment is not handled on this website at present.
5. This website
This website does not use analytics or advertising trackers and does not set tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's font servers when a page loads.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that host our systems, and where the law requires it.
7. Keeping and deleting data
Account and license records are kept while your account or license exists and for as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to correct or delete your account data.
8. Security
License checks are sent over an encrypted connection. Access to customer records is restricted to authorised administrators and administrative actions are logged.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
